I just got back from my friend's memorial dinner/celebration of her life. I'm not in a good mental place heading into the weekend. Feeling sad/ashamed that my friend wanted to live and couldn't, and I still can but often don't want to.

RiverGirl, you did the right thing by posting here.

You face a long weekend, to be sure. Perhaps, for now, we can focus on you making it to morning. That would be plenty for now.

Your friend, who no longer has to suffer in this world of crushing loneliness, would surely want you to see Saturday, right?

Thanks, Oak. I'm sorry if I sounded like I'm in immediate danger. I'm choosing to live, even if it's minute by minute at times.
