intrusive daydreaming?

Post by randomletter_uckface »

I dunno what to call it, is it really dissociation?
I get sidetracked and stuck so easily in whatever thought pops into my mind, be it facts I learned several years ago or an argument about something that doesn't matter anymore.
So many thoughts are just flying around and they all seem to have equal value to my brain who can't sort through relevant and irrelevant thoughts.
I have to force myself back to reality, otherwise I am perfectly content with living in a fantasy world and creating emotions out of "nothing" to keep my mind busy, like I have one foot in the real world just enough to get by but "the real me" is constantly living in a fantasy world.

I've always been like this and I don't have ADHD.. could CPTSD do this to a person or is it something else?
I'd like to know but I fear that the question is too difficult (and in the end- irrelevant) to answer.

(Yes, I was abused)
