How to deal with Depersonalization?

Post by Charvelle »

Hello everyone,

I'm really glad this forum exists!
So I have been in therapy for two years and learned a lot about myself and my Depersonalization Disorder.
The last weeks a lot happened in my life and I started to feeling spaced out again and I kinda got annoyed because I thought I could handle it better.

So I wanted to aks you: What are you tips to deal with DD episodes?
Maybe to spread some positivity and hope. :)

Mine are:
- making time for myself
- enjoying the little things, like a cup of tea and a good book
- doing sports, concentrating on my body
- writing down my feelings
- listening to music, singing and dancing
- focus on my breathing
- getting outside, walking through nature
- watching dodie youtube videos :D

So how about you? I'm always insterested to hear from other people's experiences.

Also, if you wanna talk to me about the topic, I'm here! I would love to talk to people who have the same disorder as me. :)

I've never been diagnosed with this, but I know I've had episodes of this. I have no tips and no idea how to deal with it. I just wanted you to know you're not alone.
