Younger son addicted to video games

Hey,
My younger son is addicted to video games and he spends long hours in front of the computer. Terasology is his favorite game and he keeps on playing it continuously without any break. He is now complaining frequently about leg pain and I have found visible blue veins on his upper thighs. Can this be the beginning of varicose vein? Can sitting long hours before the computer lead to this condition? However, I am planning to take him to a vein clinic in Toronto. Is there anybody over here with a similar condition?
